“6MX is a 1st Moscow Watch Factory Kirova handcrafted engineering masterpiece. Fuse (chain-driven), 15 rubs damaskeened, 24-karat gold-plated movement with diamond endcap jewel, spring detent escapement, compensa balance and palladium helical spring. Movement in solid brass housing with heavy beveled crystal cover (4½" di Fully-gimballed inside a three tier mounting box in outer carrying case with red mahogany "piano" finish. Serial number, Cyrillic markings on dial. The dial marked with a seconds subdial and a 56 hr up-down wind indicators The chronometer is set in gimbals so that its horizontal position will not be disturbed by the ship's motions, the g being secured in the inner box. This served to keep the effects of gravity constant on the balance wheel so as to r. any variations in timing due to position. Cover of inner case opens to display ships clock through glass-covered & which also opens so you can wind or set clock.“
